Tyler Hollomon won this match Jan. 28 against Sabetha opponent and later in the evening also won against his Hiawatha opponent. In the contests at Jefferson West High School, the Jeff West Tigers won both contests against Hiawatha and Sabetha, and Hiawatha beat Sabetha.

Agricultural store, seed plant officially opened
Mayor Charles Stutesman and Shana and Brian Lane used ceremonial scissors Saturday to cut a ribbon officially opening Valley Ag Inc. new store and soybean treatment plant at Valley Falls. Approximately 60 people gathered at noon for the ribbon cutting and more than 200 were served pulled pork sandwiches during the open house. “We’re open and it’s full steam ahead now,” said Brian Lane. “The turnout was phenomenal. We couldn’t be more pleased.” He expressed appreciation to the mayor for presiding at the ribbon cutting and for his comments.
