Lowell Bryant

Lowell Bryant, 85, Topeka, formerly of Perry, died March 3, 2008. He was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Norton, the son of Elmer and Alice Bryant.

Lowell operated the Skelly Station and Auto Electric both in Norton. He moved to Perry in 1968 where he worked for Standard Oil and the Co-op as a fuel truck driver until his retirement.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Lions Club, the Perry City Council and was active with the Good Samaritan Fund fundraisers after moving to AldersgateVillage. He was also a member of the Rossville Christian Church.

Lowell was married to Helen Engelhardt 40 years. She preceded him in death. To this union were born three daughters, Connie, Debbie and LoAnn. He later was married to Alberta Sieh 12 years. She also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Bryant, Topeka, and Connie Zajac, Voluntown, Conn.; two stepsons, Robert Sieh, Rossville, and Kenneth Sieh, Meriden; five stepgrandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Rous, and a daughter, LoAnn, soon after her birth.

Memorial services were March 7 at Wesley Hall at AldersgateVillage. Memorial contributions can be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at AldersgateVillage or to Rossville Christian Church.
