William L. “Bill” Mulvihill, 46, Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Perry, died Jan. 22, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 14, 1961, at Lawrence, the son of John Joseph, Jr. and Edna Reichard Mulvihill. He had lived in Minneapolis 15 years. Mr. Mulvihill worked as a customer service associate at Target and had previously worked at various restaurants. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Perry and was a former member of the Billtown Go-Getters 4-H club. He was a 1980 Graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School and attended Kansas University. He is survived by one brother, Patrick Mulvihill, Perry; and one sister, Rita Leonard, Perry. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 26 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Perry. Memorials can be made to the church or to the Marian Clinic of Topeka and sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066. Richard Streeter Richard Cole “RC” Streeter, 79, Horton, died Jan. 23, 2008, at the Horton Community Hospital. He was born May 27, 1928, at Everest, the son of Herbert and Sarah Sawyer Streeter. He graduated from Everest High School in 1946 and married Joan Willis Streeter Oct. 4, 1947, in Willis. Mr. Streeter lived his entire life in Brown County and was a farmer and cattleman. He also worked for Sunflower Creamery in Everest and operated a milk transport business. He was an owner of Hutchison Implement Co., an Allis Chalmers farm machinery dealership in Everest and Nortonville. He retired from farming in 1991. He served on the Everest City Council, was a member of the Everest Christian Church, Hiawatha Elks Lodge and the Hiawatha Masonic Lodge No. 35. Survivors include his wife, Jody, of the home; sons, Rick Streeter, Casa Grande, Ariz., Jim Streeter, Everest, and Tracy Streeter, Valley Falls; daughters, Sara Knudson, Horton, and Nancy Streeter, Topeka; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline Bruning, Everest, and Evelyn Lewis, Holton. A sister, Norma Pudas, preceded him in death. Funeral services were Jan. 26 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton. Burial was in the Miller Cemetery, Everest. Memorials can be sent to the R.C. Streeter memorial fund to be designated later and sent in care of the mortuary. Susie Richardson Susie B. Reynolds Richardson, 86, formerly of Perry and Lecompton, died Jan. 27, 2008, at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Topeka. She was born April 21, 1921, at Holton, the daughter of Richard and Mary Boydston. She was a 1938 graduate of Lecompton High School. Susie was a clinical nurse’s aide for many years and formerly owned and operated Bill’s Laundromat in Perry. She was also a seamstress, creating any piece of clothing from blue jeans to wedding dresses. She married William H. Reynolds in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1971.She was married to Asa Richardson Aug. 4, 1972, at Lecompton. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1989. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Roberta Jean Reynolds and Susan Cheryl Reynolds, and one son, William J. Reynolds. Survivors include one son, Vernon Reynolds, Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Anita Louise Reynolds, Springfield, Mo.; two stepsons, Ernest Richardson, Lawrence, and Mark Richardson, Tucson, Ariz.; three stepdaughters, Karen Dick, Perry, Wanita Lovell, Joshua, Texas, and Diana Miller, Lawrence; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorials can be made to Heart of America Hospice and sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066. Paul Eisermann Paul D. Eisermann, 70, Denison, died Jan. 28, 2008, at Manor Care in Topeka. He was born April 5, 1937, in Raymond, Neb., the son of Floyd Garwin and Theda Moira Holmes Eisermann. He graduated from Effingham High School. He lived all his life in the Holton and Denison communities. He was self-employed in scrap metal salvage. He is survived by two sons, Clifford Eisermann, Soldier, and Robert John Eisermann, Denison; two daughters, Brenda and Dorothy; two sisters, Nancy Ann Harsch, Leavenworth, and ARlene Miller, Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Robert Eisermann and John Eisermann, both of San Antonio, Texas, and Larry Eisermann, Tonganoxie; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Franklin VanDyke Franklin Doyle VanDyke, 72, Kansas City, formerly of Tonganoxie, died at his home Jan. 23, 2008. He was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Goodland, the son of John and Lida Harless VanDyke. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma L. VanDyke; two sons, John R. VanDyke, Sugar Land, Texas, and David W. VanDyke, Olathe; two daughters, Beverly J. VanDyke, Kansas City, and Brendia L. Falk, Meadows Place, Texas; four grandchildren; two sisters, Jeannette Sparks, McLouth, and Faye Young, Sun City Center, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, John VanDyke Jr. Doyle was a member of the Tonganoxie Christian Church. Prior to retirement from Hallmark Cards in Leavenworth in February 1996, he was employed by the Tonganoxie School District and was a deputy with the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Department. Doyle volunteered as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Tonganoxie Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral services were Jan. 26 at the Tonganoxie Christian Church. Burial was in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie. Memorials can be made to Lewy-Body Association or to the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care and sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086. Christina Rose Kirby The world has lost a young and wonderful soul. Christina Rose Kirby, 17, of Nortonville, Kansas, died January 25, 2008 from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident near Atchison. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Heritage Conference Center,719 S, 9th St., Atchison, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 30th, 2008 also at the Heritage Conference Center. The O’Trimble Funeral Home, Nortonville is in charge of the arrangements. The body has been cremated and private family burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in the Nortonville Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to help with funeral expenses. Condolences to the family may be left on line at www.beckerdyer.com. Born on December 16, 1990, in Winchester, Kansas, Christina was the youngest daughter of Mark and Heidi Kirby. She attended Jefferson County North schools from kindergarten to her junior year, when she transferred to Atchison High School. Christina will be greatly missed by her mother and father, Nortonville; her brothers and sister: her oldest brother, Mike Kirby, Asheville, NC, and Jenny Cook and son Ethan; her sister, Theresia Kirby, Eudora, KS and Travis Belveal; and her other two brothers, Matthew and Ryan Kirby who both live in Nortonville. Her other surviving family members include her maternal grandfather, Klaus Schneege, Anaheim, CA; and grandmother, Rosemary Kirby, Omaha, NE. Christina also left behind several aunts and uncles, other family members, and many, many friends. Christina was very active in sports but her love was basketball. She was a current member of the Atchison High School varsity girls’ basketball team, did MAYB basketball in the summer, and had played varsity basketball and volleyball at JCN. She also ran track, played flute in the band and sang in the chorus at JCN. She was also involved in many school activities including Spanish Club, FBLA and the musicals at JCN. Christina was a longtime member of the Lucky-4 4-H club in Nortonville and showed sheep on county, state and national levels for many years. She was a member of the Nortonville Christian Church and was active in youth group and attended Mission Lake church camp for years. Christina was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell in Atchison, where her trademark laughter and big, infectious smile helped her quickly gain friends.
