Slight decrease in Valley Falls USD 338 tax levy

There are slight increases in the district’s assessed valuation and taxpayers will get a slight break in the mill levy. The levies for all funds total 55.330, down about 1 1/3 from last year’s levy.

Valley Falls art teacher preps former industrial arts building into classroom

Megan Turner, art teacher, adds life to the new industrial building as she paints a lion on the wall. The building is split into two sections for older and younger students. She decided to make the youth area jungle themed to help “liven” the room. “I think the kids will like it,” Turner said.

Megan Turner, Valley Falls K-12 art teacher, is excited to transform the industrial building into her new art classroom and appreciates the larger space for students and storage.
