The Valley Falls girls’ 4x100m relay team placed fifth in regionals last week and broke a 36-year-old school record. Coach Seth Cooper said the previous record was held by Littleton, Sieve, Wichman, and Bolz and was set in 1977 with a time of 53.7. Current holders are, from left, Tamara Drinkard, Megan Harrington, Emily Nottingham, and Amanda Sales with a time of 52.71.
Although the field was small, the competition was fierce as six seniors vied for the title of Mr. Perry-Lecompton.
