Georgia Patzner

Georgia Mary Patzner, 94, Topeka, formerly of Claflin, died Aug. 20, 2009, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born Sept. 21, 1914, at Holyrood, the daughter of Frank A. and Antonia Rhula Wesely. She had lived in Topeka six years moving from Claflin.

She was a homemaker.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin and a member of Daughters of Isabella. She attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden.

She married Joseph William Patzner Sr. Sept. 21, 1933, at Claflin.He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1970.

Survivors include one son, Joseph W. Patzner Jr., Joplin, Mo.; three daughters, Anna Catherine Dreiling, Wichita, and Dorothy Mae Carver and Sue Von Feldt, both Topeka; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial was Aug. 22 at Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin. Burial was in Claflin Cemetery.

Patricia Wear

Patricia L. “Patty” Wear, 86, McLouth, died Aug. 22, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1923, at McLouth, the daughter of Ray and Agnes Harding Shoemaker and was a lifelong resident of the McLouth area. Mrs. Wear was a homemaker.

She was a member of the McLouth United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 393 in McLouth.

She married William “Glenn” Wear in 1944 at Kansas City. He preceded her in death Aug. 3, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Willis, Lawrence; two grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will be at McLouth Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday prior to services at the church.

Memorials can be made to the church or to the American Legion Auxiliary and sent in care of the Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066.

Dale Kingsbury

Dale A. Kingsbury, 50, Oskaloosa, died Aug. 8, 2009 at his home.

He was born June 29, 1959, at Tor- rington, Wyo., the son of Robert and Dixie White Kingsbury.

He worked as a goat and chicken farmer on the family farm in Oskaloosa. He was a member of the Nortonville Seventh Day Baptist Church and Life Force International.

He married Genie Francis Dec. 16, 1988, in Emporia. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Dixie Kingsbury, Sterling, Colo.; two sons, Brad Kingsbury, Centralia, and Bryan Kingsbury of France; two brothers, Lyle Kingsbury and Carl Kingsbury, both of Sterling, Colo; three sisters, Faith Pettit of Oklahoma, Lydia Harms, Iliff, Colo., and Letha Walker, Sterling, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services were Aug. 14 at the Nortonville Seventh Day Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Dale Kingsbury memorial fund to assist with funeral expenses and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, 66608.
