The Valley Falls Dragons softball team played host to the Bulldogs from McLouth Friday evening at Davis Field.
Josee Neiberger took the mound in the first game for the Dragons and pitched a complete game throwing 21 first-pitch strikes and sitting down two batters.
McLouth’s lead pitcher, Shannon Greene, started the first game for the Bulldogs. Greene threw 21 first-pitch strikes and sent five batters back to the dugout down in the count.
The Dragons picked up two runs in the first off of Greene followed by one in the second. The Bulldogs were unable to score until the fourth inning.  The Dragons picked up another two runs in the fifth and one in the six closing out the game, 6-1.
Starting pitcher for the Dragons’ second game was Allie Kearney. Kearney pitched seven innings, striking out one batter. Brooke Vicory took the mound in the second game for McLouth.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead, leading 3-0 in the third inning. The Dragons were finally able to score in the fourth, tying the game at 3. The Bulldogs picked up two more runs in the fifth. In the bottom of the inning, the Dragons drove in seven including a three-run homerun off the bat of senior Jenna Kramer. The Dragons went on to win the game, 10-5.
