City Administrator Denise Streeter began her duties Monday. She has been contracted to perform the duties of the job on an interim basis at least until May 1 when the mayor makes his annual appointments.

As administrator she is in charge of the daily operations of the city and oversees all employees.

At the outset she will concentrate on creating financial reports, which have been missing for some time.

She credits City Clerk April Herbster with doing an excellent job of reporting income and expenses since she arrived in July.

“We just have to fine tune it and maybe seek some professional help to finish the year out,” Streeter said.
