By Jared Speckman

Council members for the city of Oskaloosa voted to approve a contract for architectural services for a new city hall.

The three members present at Thursday night’s meeting, John Norman, Amy Robbins and Eric Leroux, all voted in favor of the contract with Devore and Associates Architects of Ottawa.

Devore will complete the proposal for $29,000, which is eight percent of the proposed $375,000 construction budget for the city hall project. The proposal will include $18,250 in project fees as well as $11,250 in engineering fees. The council approved the project, not to exceed $29,500.
