Meeting will explore return of fireworks Lake Perry
A meeting to plan for a Perry Lake fireworks show next July 4th weekend is being held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Dukes Bar & Grill at Lake Perry Yacht & Marina.The meeting is being promoted by Don Hutley of the Bait Hut on US-24 highway in North Topeka.
“It’s our favorite holiday and we miss the camaraderie and celebration,” he said in a letter being circulated.
He would like community residents along with government officials and business owners to “brainstorm” and see if there is enough support to bring the fireworks display back.
