Dennis A. Hagemann, 69, Topeka, died Sept. 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born May 2, 1943, at Topeka, the son of Albert R. and Roberta E. Oyler Hagemann.
He was a 1961 graduate of Washburn Rural High School. He attended Washburn University and earned a B.S. degree in business administration from Ft. Hays State University in 1969.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam war from 1963 to 1966. He was stationed in South Korea 13 months.
He worked as a contractor in construction, owning and operating Dennis Hagemann Remodeling and Repair in Topeka for many years. He had formerly worked at the Goodyear
Tire & Rubber Co. in Topeka for many years.
He was a member of the Capitol City Gun Club, National Rifle Assocation, and American Legion. He was an avid motorcyclist.
He is survived by his mother, Roberta E. Hagemann, Ozawkie; and his companion of 23 years, Donna K. Kenney, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert R. Hagemann, June 24, 1989, and his son, Travis Hagemann, June 19, 2005.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Rock Creek Bible Church, Meriden. Inurnment will be at the Meriden Cemetery.
