Gladine Marshalick

Gladine Shirley Marshalick, 91, Meriden, formerly of Grantville, died July 24, 2012, at the Linnwood Park South care facility in Meriden.

She was born Oct. 11, 1920, in rural Perry, the daughter of Roll Lafayette and Grace Duncan Shirley.

She was a 1938 graduate of Perry Rural High School and was a member of and attended the Grantville United Methodist Church, the Perry United Methodist Church and the Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina Sterling, Knoxville, Tenn., Dana Stanwix, Grantville, and Gena Leslie, Lecompton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son in infancy.

Funeral services were July 30 at the Grantville United Methodist Church. Burial was at Grantville Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Grantville United Methodist Church and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, 66066.
