Youth outdoor event in KC in August
One of the largest youth hunting events will take place Aug. 11 at the Theodore Naish Boy Scout Camp, 1100 Martinek Lane, Kansas City.
Russell Voelker, Valley Falls, a trapping instructor, wants local youths ages 8 to 18 to be aware of the event and get registered if they are interested.
Events taking place include BB gun shooting, taxidermy, paintball, camping skills, archery, trapping, cross bow, shotgun shooting, fly tying, rifle shooting, hunter safety, clay bird shooting, and more.
The daylong event is sponsored by the National Youth Hunting Assocation and the National Rifle Association.
One must register in advance online at youthoutdoorevent.com.
