Marian Wallace

Marian Grace Boyle Wallace, 93, Winchester, died July 7, 2012, at the F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester.

She was born June 13, 1919, at Boyle, the daughter of Charles Grant and Grace Erwin Boyle. She was a 1937 graduate of Winchester High School and attended Kansas State University.

A homemaker, she also taught child evangelistic classes and operated a daycare while living in Phoenix. She was a member of the Winchester United Methodist Church.

She married Durland Lee Wallace. He preceded her in death May 30, 1997.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra “Summer” Krueger, Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sons, Joseph E. Wallace and Richard Lee Wallace, both Winchester; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Heter, Dorothy Hoak, and Margaret Good.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Barnett Family Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Inurnment will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery, south of Boyle Station in rural Valley Falls.
