Janice Raye Hendricks

Janice Raye Hendricks, 65, Topeka, died July 14, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

She was born April 14, 1947, at Topeka, to Lewis and Leta Durham Cole.

She was a graduate of Blue Mound High School in Linn County and attended a nurse’s school in Kansas City.

She worked as a licensed practical nurse and as a pharmacist’s assistant. When she retired she was a receptionist for Bruce Tillery, D.D.S., in Valley Falls.

She married Don Phillipe in June 1967. He preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1970. She married Dean Hendricks Nov. 1, 1971. He preceded her in death March 20, 1988.

Survivors include her mother, Leta Herboldshiemer, Mapleton; two sons, Clayton Hendricks, Lawrence, and Jeremy Hendricks, Topeka; and sisters, Alice Christianson, Gilbert, Ariz., Rose Mary Wickersham, Meriden, Glenna Bowman, Louisburg, Cathy Rameriz, Mound City, and Linda Free, Fort Scott.

She was cremated and no services are planned.
