The following accidents were recently reported:

June 28, 3:06 a.m.: Jaurrice D. Downing, 23, Atchison, was traveling north on K-4 Highway near 150th Street when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason, coming to a rest on its top in the ditch.

July 2, 6:45 a.m.: August C. Walter, 58, Perry, was traveling west on U.S. 24 Highway near K-237 Highway when a vehicle driven by Carl D. Henson III, 53, Overland Park, pulled out into the roadway causing the vehicles to collide.

July 6, 2:10 a.m.: Raymond M. Baumgart, 24, Oskaloosa, was traveling on Wellman Road near 13th Street when he swerved to miss a deer and went off the west side of the roadway.

July 6, 8:37 a.m.: Carter T. Pilch, 16, Lawrence, was traveling south on Phillips Road near 13th Street when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway. Pilch over-corrected and he lost control of the vehicle which rolled into a steep ravine.

July 7, 4:16 a.m.: Mandy L. Courter, 24, Oskaloosa, was making a three-point turn in her driveway on Elm and Union streets when she ran over her father, Daniel J. Courter, 49, Oskaloosa. He was taken by air ambulance to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

July 8, 6 p.m.: Krystal C. Hobbs, 16, McLouth, was traveling east on the 17900 block of 106th Street when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a fence and power pole. Hobbs and a passenger, Jessica R. Rogers, were both taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
