Landis graduates from clerks’ institute

Deputy County Clerk and Financial Manager Annie Landis, Oskaloosa, was recently honored as a graduate of the Kansas County Clerks’ and Election Officials’ Sanborn Certification Institute held annually in Wichita.

Graduation certificates were presented in early May at a ceremony during the association’s annual meeting in Dodge City. Graduates were recognized for their professional achievement and service to county government.

The certification program is sponsored by the Center for Urban Studies, Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs at Wichita State University and the association.

The institute provides 100 hours of instruction. Participants receive theoretical and practical instruction in the areas of public administration, leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills. The program aids county clerks and their employees in improving job performance and recognizes the professionalism of their office.
