Firefighters were quick to respond to a house fire on Blue Mound Road and saved most of the structure. It’s the home of Mike and Patricia Miller and their two children located just north of The Barn Bed and Breakfast. Volunteer firemen from District 11 and Rock Creek Township are shown working together to saw through the roof of a porch to get to the flames. The porch and kitchen area were damaged and will be built back. The west portion of the rock house was not damaged except from the roof area. The family’s belongings suffered some smoke and water damage. It’s believed to have been caused by an electrical problem.
