The following accidents were recently reported:

May 14, 1:20 a.m.: Jae S. Shin, 25, Lawrence, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 Highway near KOA Road when he swerved to miss a deer and collided with a bridge guardrail.

May 18, 8:40 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Troy A. Hasty, Grantville, was traveling southbound on Westlake Road when the driver served to avoid a deer and crashed.

May 21, 6:12 p.m.: Eric A. Leroux, 50, Oskaloosa, was traveling west on Monroe Street in Oskaloosa and was making a turn into a trailer court and struck a vehicle driven by Emily M. Bandel, 27, Lawrence.

May 21, 4:40 p.m.: Kenneth Smith, 53, Atchison, was traveling southbound on U.S. 59 Highway near 46th Street and was slowing to turn left when another vehicle traveling south and driven by Polly S. McInroy, 56, Oskaloosa, rear-ended Smith’s vehicle.
