Norma Jean Cobb, 78, Oskaloosa, died at her home April 6, 2012.
She was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Seminole, Okla., the daughter of Hubert Earl “H.E.” and Violet L. Hayes.
She graduated from Chickasha (Okla.) High School. She then attended the Chickasha College for women, where she received her home economics and elementary teaching degree in 1956.
She married Richard Andrew Cobb June 10, 1956, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death March 10, 2008.
She was a member of the Oskaloosa Church of Christ and the Choctaw Indian Nation in Durant, Okla.
Survivors include four sons. They and their spouses are Brent and Johanna, and Brad Cobb, Oskaloosa, Rick and Donna Cobb, Columbia, Mo., and Ed and Jan Cobb, Medford, Ore.; and one daughter, Brenda Bertels, and her husband, Ron, Nortonville; two sisters, Donna Spurling, Orville, Calif., and Ruth Russell, Denton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Lea Cobb.
Services were at noon April 11 at the Barnett Family Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial was at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
