Rock hits windshield injures truck driver
A truck driver was hit in the face and lost consciousness after a large rock crashed through his windshield on US-24 highway a mile and a half east of Perry.
Roberto Chevez-Enamorado, 49, Independence, Mo., was the driver of a 2003 Freightliner eastbound at about 7:45 p.m. March 7 when the incident occurred.
The truck went off the roadway to the left, went through a fence, and came to rest in a field.
The driver was transported to a Topeka hospital for treatment, according to the Highway Patrol report.
