Matthew Kalbach
Matthew William Kalbach, 24, died March 11, 2012, in Panama City, Fla.
He was a 2005 graduate of Lawson High School and a 2010 graduate of Missouri State with a criminal justice degree. He was currently enrolled at the Johnson County Culinary School.
He was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity at Missouri State.
He is survived by his parents, Amy Kalbac, Lawson, Mo., and William Kalbach Jr., Windsor, Pa.; two brothers, William Dusing, Cincinati, Ohio, and Cole Herring, Holton; three sisters, Megan McKeehan, Olathe, Marlee Kalbach, Lawson, Mo., and Samantha Herring, Holton; maternal grandparents, Alice Peterson, Carbondale, and Fred and Sheila Bradshaw, Huntsville, Ark.; great-grandparents, Willis and Alice Schultz, Alta Vista; paternal grandparents, William Kalbach, Reading, Pa., and Judy Hatfield, Ithaca, N.Y.
Matthew’s great aunt is Colette Grahem, Meriden. His mother, nee Bradshaw, was a Meriden resident and Jefferson West graduate.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 18, at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson, Mo. Family visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by the service at 3. A private burial will be held at a later date.
