Myrl Sue Gurwell, 75, Topeka, died Feb. 17, 2012, at her home.

She was born Jan. 12, 1937, at Gladewater, Texas, the daughter of Alton and Doris Hammock Fowler.
She was a homemaker. She had worked as a data entry operator for several businesses in Topeka. She was a former member of the Highland Park Assembly of God Church.
She married Clayton D. Gurwell June 3, 1954, at Bossier City, La. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Clayton Dean Gurwell Jr., Greensboro, N.C., and Brent Lee Gurwell, Scranton; two daughters, Cheryle Lynn Isaacs, Wetumpka, Ala., and Susan Annette Copeland, St. George; and six grandchildren.
The funeral service was Feb. 20, at the Community Church, Topeka. Private burial was at the Valley Falls Cemetery.
