Food distribution dates set for county this week

The Emergency Food Assistance Program commodities distribution for Jefferson County residents will be distributed Jan. 24 and 25.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program commodities distribution for Jefferson County residents will be distributed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Jefferson County Service Organization office, 410 Liberty, Oskaloosa, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Sunset Haven Apartments, 940 Frazier, Valley Falls.

The remainder will be available at the JCSO office until they are gone. Distribution is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Eligibility is based on income that ranges from a household of one with a maximum gross monthly income of $1,180 to a household of eight with a monthly income of $4,077.
