Robin Pottorf

Robin Frances Pottorf, 51, Oskaloosa, died Dec. 14, 2011, at her home after a long fight with cancer.

She was born Jan. 15, 1960, at Topeka, the daughter of Paul and Ruth Self Crawford. She was raised by her adopted parents, Willis and Cora Marie Crawford.

She was a 1978 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and attended Garden City Community College. She worked as a cook and waitress for many years in Oskaloosa.

She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 62 and a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church.

She married David Marlin Pottorf April 19, 1980, at Oskaloosa. He preceded her in death May 30, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jacob P. Pottorf, June 28, 2002, and her mother, Cora Marie Crawford June 9, 2010.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Willis and Judy Crawford, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Alan Crawford and Mark Crawford, both Oskaloosa; two sisters, Debbie Harries, Oskaloosa, and Martha Speaks, Gladstone, Mo.

Funeral services were Dec. 19 at the Living Water Evangelical Free Church in Oskaloosa. Burial was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa.

Memorials can be made to Northeast Kansas Ducks Unlimited Chapter or to Jefferson County Friends of Hospice and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, 66066.
