Nellie Almeda Welch, 73, Lawrence, died Dec. 23, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 15, 1938, in Clovis, N.M., to John Wiley “Wad” and Almeda Emile Oller Blake.
She was a homemaker and artist, and a member of the Perry United Methodist Church.
She married Lonnie Wayne Welch in Las Cruces, NM., Sept. 2, 1956. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Bryan Welch, Lawrence, and Blake Welch, Louisville, Colo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Buster Cemetery in rural Perry. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Perry United Methodist Church.
Memorials can be made to the Perry United Methodist Church and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602, Oskaloosa, 66066.
