Christmas tree recycling through Jan. 31

Leavenworth-Jefferson Electric Cooperative Inc. and the city of McLouth invites everyone to recycle their live Christmas trees.

From now until Jan. 31, residents can drop their live, undecorated tree in Rose Park in McLouth.

LJEC will then chip the trees into usable mulch. Signage on Union Street in downtown McLouth will direct people to the drop point.

Questions can be directed to LJEC at 888-796-6111.
