Ball team visits Head Start
The Jefferson West boy’s varsity basketball team visited the Meriden Head Start Center Dec. 22 for the fifth consecutive year.
Each December Coach Matt Tinsley and his team spend a morning during the Christmas season with the children, giving each one a Christmas present. The team members spend time talking and playing with each child, making them feel special during the Christmas season.
“It is really great to see the joy in the children’s faces as they open their gifts and play with their ‘big friend,’ ” said teacher and center manager Shannon McMahon.
