Theater students collect food for God’s Storehouse

Theater students from Jefferson County North and Jefferson West high schools collected non-perishable food items for God’s Storehouse Oct. 29.

Members of JCN Thespian Troupe 6178 collected food from Nortonville and Winchester while members of JW Troupe 7245 collected canned goods donated at their fall show, “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

The troupes combined their totals for over 500 pounds of food for the food pantry.

The local theater troupes were part of a national collection of food as part of the International Thespian Society’s “Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat” campaign, which focuses on stamping out hunger affecting children in the United States.
