Sharon Kay Combs

Sharon Kay Combs, 62, McLouth, died Nov. 19, 2011, at the F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester.

She was born June 13, 1949, at Topeka, the daughter of Alvin Mervin and Ruth Marie Cook Combs.

She attended schools in Tuscon, Ariz., and in Oskaloosa. She was a homemaker and worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant in McLouth for several years.

She was a member of the McLouth Church of the Nazarene and also attended the First Baptist Church and the United Methodist Church, all in McLouth.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Clyde Smith Jr., McLouth; and five sisters, Jeannie Kimes, Tuscon, Ariz., Rosie R. Hargrove, Salem, Ore., Tammy Jo Driscoll, Topeka, Carolyn Gardner, Winchester, and Edna Brubaker, Lawrence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the McLouth Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at McLouth Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Barnett Family Funeral Home, 1220 Walnut, Hwy. 59, Oskaloosa, where she will lie in state after 10 a.m. Friday.

Memorials can be made to the organization of the donor’s choice and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, 66066.
