The following accidents were recently reported:
Aug. 19, 6:45 a.m.: Jaidyn F. Matney, 16, Ozawkie, was traveling south on Ferguson Road near Marion Road when her vehicle struck a bridge railing.
Aug. 25, 11:48 a.m.: Sharon S. McKay, 67, Topeka, was traveling on U.S. 24 Highway and was slowing to turn left onto K-237 Highway when a vehicle driven by Francis A. Stansell II, 19, Lawrence, went to pass McKay and hit McKay’s vehicle.
Aug. 27, 1:40 a.m.: Tyler A. Miller, 19, Valley Falls, was traveling north on K-4 Highway near 130th Street when a law enforcement officer attempted to stop Miller. Miller allegedly attempted to elude the officer and Miller lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the east ditch.
Aug. 31, 4:24 p.m.: Mary E. Livingston, 56, Lawrence, was traveling south on Lecompton Road near Front Street when a vehicle driven by Abbigail J. Hurd, 21, Perry, failed to give right-of-way and turned left in front of Livingston causing an accident.
Sept. 3, 3 a.m.:Christopher R. Hodgkiss, 29, Meriden, was traveling on 81st Street near Clark Road when he lost control of his vehicle and slid into the ditch sideways before sliding back across the road and into the opposite ditch.
Sept. 16, 3:30 p.m.: Joseph Platt, 16, Valley Falls, was traveling through a parking lot at the Jefferson West School when he struck a vehicle driven by Ashley A. Neiberger, 16, Valley Falls.
