Levi Smock

Levi J. Smock, 15, Grantville, died Aug. 8, 2011, at his home.

He was born Jan. 15, 1996, at Lawrence, the son of Robert Earl Smock and Deanna Mariea Pattison. Levi was a sophomore at Perry-Lecompton High School.

He worked as a general laborer throwing hay and helped his family often. He was a member of the Christian Calvary Motorcycle Ministries and he was on the Perry-Lecompton football, wrestling, and baseball teams. He was also an avid dune buggy operator.

Survivors include his father, Robert E. Smock and stepmother, Elizabeth Marie Smock, Grantville; his mother, Deanna M. Pattison; two brothers, Cody and Logan Pattison, Lawrence; and two sisters, Janie Pattison and Shelby Smock, step-brothers, Jonathan and Joshua Renneberg, and a stepsister, Autumn Renneberg, all of Grantville.

Funeral services were Aug. 13 at the Perry American Legion. Burial was at Buster Cemetery, rural Perry.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Barnett Family Funeral Home and sent to PO Box 602, Oskaloosa, 66066, to help with funeral expenses.
