Refreshing drink in Valley Falls
The first lemonade stand this spring showed up in downtown Valley Falls last week operated by sisters Makayla and Mercedes Edwards, 10 and 6 respectively. Makayla was waving a colorful sign to lure customers while Mercedes operated the cash drawer. They reported a brisk business and said they had made a lot of money. The stand was located outside of the Western Hardware & Auto operated by their grandparents, Bob and Linda Schneider. They are the daughters of Joey and Kristina Edwards, Nortonville.
