Larry Berg
Larry D. Berg, 68, Bonner Springs, died June 4, 2011, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam.
He was born May 31, 1943, in Salina and was raised in Perris, Calif. He moved back to Kansas in the early 1960s to attend college and to teach music in Oskaloosa for 14 years before later moving to the Bonner Springs area in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother, James Walter Berg.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Elaine Berg, of the home; one son, Brian Berg, Shawnee; and a brother, Gary C. Berg, Grand Junction, Colo.
Funeral services were June 8 at the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Hope Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund, 6308 Quivira, Shawnee, 66216.
The Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
