The following accidents were recently reported:

May 27, 4:43 p.m.: Tiffany N. Ellerman, 30, Effingham, was traveling north on K-4 Highway near Oak Street and was slowing for a turning vehicle in front of her. A vehicle driven by Harry R. Leonard, 79, Valley Falls, did not slow down in time and rear-ended Ellerman’s vehicle.

May 29, 4:14 p.m.: Pamela S. Nation, 44, Ozawkie, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 Highway and was slowing down in the right turn lane to turn onto Cedar Street in Perry. A vehicle driven by Daniel Long, 28, Nortonville, was also traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 Highway. As Long passed Nation, she pulled back out onto the highway causing both vehicles to collide.

May 30, 1:39 a.m.: A vehicle driven by Brian Buttram, 52, Ozawkie, was traveling south on Kiowa Road near 82nd Street when Buttram lost control and crashed into the ditch and a rock wall. He was arrested for DUI.
