Shirley Arnold
Shirley Ann “Grammy” Arnold, 73, Ozawkie, died May 10, 2011.
She was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Topeka, the daughter of Herman and Lilly Kuebler Meyer. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School.
She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 30 years.
She was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
She married Kenneth J. Arnold Sept. 1, 1955 in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Randy Arnold, Lawrence, and Doug Arnold, Valley Falls; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Meyer.
Funeral ceremonies were May 14 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Interment was at Valley Falls Cemetery.
