Sophomore Konner Patterson slides into home after hitting a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to break the tie.

The McLouth Lady Bulldogs advanced to the state tournament in Manhattan next weekend with a 3-2 victory Tuesday night over Silver Lake.

The Lady Bulldogs disposed of Effingham-ACCHS in the semifinals round 11-8.

Senior Jessie Troupe got the Lady Bulldogs on the board in the top of the first inning with a two-run home run to left-centerfield. Senior Pitcher Kaley Patterson shut down the Lady Eagles offense for the first three innings but gave up a two run home run in the fourth.
