The following accidents were recently reported:

April 1, 12:10 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Rebecca Lassiter, Ozawkie, was legally parked in a parking lot when it was struck by a vehicle allegedly driven by Lois V. Tooker, 55, Oskaloosa. Two witnesses wrote down the license plate letters and numbers of Tooker’s vehicle before the vehicle drove away.

April 13, 6:40 p.m.: Jacob T. Buscher, 18, Ozawkie, was traveling south on U.S. 59 Highway near 23rd Street when he struck a dog.

April 13, 9:50 p.m.: Zachary Q. Mendez, 25, Lawrence, was traveling northbound on U.S. 59 Highway near 54th Street when his vehicle struck a cow owned by James I. Marsh, Oskaloosa.

April 16, 3:41 p.m.: Steven L. Yates, 33, Valley Falls, was backing out of a driveway at 10th and Walnut Streets when his vehicle struck a legally parked car owned by Helen L. Freeborn, Valley Falls. Freeborn was not at the scene and the car was unoccupied.

April 17, 3:06 a.m.: Nicholas D. Pannella, 25, Winchester, got his vehicle stuck in mud in a ditch on Hickory Point Road near U.S. 59 Highway.
