Two Jefferson County high schools offering summer theatre camps
Jefferson West and Jefferson County North theatre departments will again offer a summer theater camp at their respective schools.
JCN’s camp will run from June 6 to 10 with morning camp from 9 a.m. to noon for kindergarten through fourth-grade. Fifth- through eighth- grade will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. The camp will be held in Winchester on the stage at the high school.
Jefferson West’s camp will be offered at the high school in Meriden from June 13 to 17. Classes for younger students will be from 9 a.m. to noon and an afternoon session from 1 to 4 will be for fourth- through eighth-grade.
The cost for both camps is $60 for each week and includes a T-shirt, insurance, snacks, and all supplies. Each camp will culminate in a final performance for morning and afternoon sessions. All proceeds, after costs, go to help send JCN and JW theater students to their state conference in January.
