Nominations sought for Spirit Award
The Jefferson County Alliance of Service Councils is looking for nominees for the 2011 Spirit Awards.
The Spirit Awards are awarded to an individual, student and group or business that shows unselfish concern for the welfare of others, a desire to help mankind, an act of goodwill or kindness in judging others or a person devoted to promoting the welfare of humanity.
Anyone in the community can nominate and forms can be downloaded at www.jeffcoalliance.org or the form can be submitted online. Nomination forms are due by Tuesday, May 3.
The winners will be recognized at a luncheon on June 2.
Last year’s winners were Allyson Ottensmeier, student; Jerry White, individual and Jolly Juniors 4-H.
