The following accidents were recently reported:

March 10, 7:55 a.m.: Joshua D. Wade, 25, Oskaloosa, was traveling on US 59 Highway near 70th Street when he fell asleep and crashed his vehicle. Wade was reportedly picked up by a driver and taken to his mother’s house. Wade then was transported to Stormont-Vail Hospital by his mother.

March 11, 1 p.m.: A vehicle owned by Thomas H. Hattemer, Oskaloosa, was parked on Delaware Street in Oskaloosa. When Hattemer returned to his vehicle it had been struck by an unknown vehicle.

March 19, 1 a.m.: Christopher G. Whitman, 46, Winchester, was traveling on Hickory Point Road near US 59 Highway when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason.

March 20, 1:50 p.m.: Richard A. Goff, 63, Perry, was traveling on US 24 Highway and stopping to turn north onto Ferguson Road. A motorcycle being driven by Julie A. O’Brien, 52, Topeka, was traveling behind Goff. O’Brien’s motorcycle began to slide and she and the motorcycle struck the rear of Goff’s vehicle. O’Brien’s motorcycle came to rest on top of her. She was transported to Stormont-Vail Hospital with injuries.

The following drivers recently struck deer on county roadways:
