Spring grass fire comes close
A Jefferson Fire District No. 10 truck drove about 50 yards from a house to help put out a smoldering grass fire on Wednesday, March 23 near 126th Street and Nemaha Road. Several fire districts including Oskaloosa Fire District help fight the blaze. Fire fighters dealt with wind gusts that exceeded 30 mph at times. Photo by Dennis Sharkey
