Dale Rogers

Dale E. Rogers, 70, Oskaloosa, died March 28, 2011, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

He was born Sept. 10, 1940, at Oskaloosa, the son of Willard F. and Lila I. Robertson Rogers.

He was a 1958 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and he served six years in the Kansas National Guard.

He worked as a painter for the Kenworth Truck Company in Kansas City for 27 years, retiring in 1999.

He married G. Jane Fine Sept. 26, 1964, at Oskaloosa. they were divorced.

Survivors include two daughters, Trisa Ouelette, Clay Center, and Charisse “CeCe” Noll, Atchison; his mother, Lila Rogers Gensler, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Rex Rogers, Frankfort, and Richard Rogers, Meriden; a sister, Beverly Elkinton, Oskaloosa; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Rogers, his father, Willard Rogers, and stepfather, Eldon “Hap” Gensler.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Inurnment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
