Kansas Day celebrated at Delaware Township Library

Civil War re-enactorsKansas Day at the Delaware Township Library was held Jan. 29. About 50 children and adults came to help celebrate the 150th birthday of Kansas. Civil War re-enactors, Loren Feldkamp, Valley Falls, and Lana and Kent Johnson, Maple Hill, (above) entertained the audience with Civil War facts, as well as the opportunity to try on uniforms.

Shannon TowellShannon Towell (left) is dressed up and in the saddle. Kolbie Glissman, a Valley Falls sophomore, conducted a story time with sunflower books. A sunflower craft, as well as sunflower sugar cookies were also available. A Kansas puzzle was given away as a door prize with Calleigh Clark being the winner.
