Darlene Lavering Spicher

Darlene Lavering Spicher, 90, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Ozawkie, died Jan. 18, 2011, at her home.

Darlene SpicherDarlene was born Dec. 3, 1920, at Lincolnville, the daughter of Edward Henry and Anna Wilma Pagenhoff Tiemeier.

She was a 1938 graduate of Lincolnville High School. She was a member of the Way of The Cross United Methodist Church of Ozawkie and was a member of the State Grange.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

She married Albert Lavering. He preceded her in death. She married Ray Samuel Spicher May 25, 1999, at Meriden. He survives at the home.

Other survivors include one daughter, Anna Channer, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Shirley Tuell, Colorado, and Betty Coughlin, Las Cruces, N.M.; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three stepsons.

Memorial services were Jan. 24 at the Ozawkie Way of the Cross United Methodist Church.

Memorials can be made to the church at 106 Golden Rod, Ozawkie, 66070.

Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
