Danny Lindsay

Danny Lee “Dan” Lindsay, 62, Moss Point, Miss., formerly of Leavenworth and Winchester, died Dec. 10, 2010, at Moss Point from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

He was born Dec. 3, 1948, at Leavenworth, the son of Chet Varner and Betty Louise Uhlrich Varner. He was adopted and raised by Karl Martin and Betty Louise Lindsay.

He was a 1967 graduate of Rowlands (Calif.) High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving eight years and also served two years in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a welder and pipe fitter for the Northrup Grumman Shipyards in the Gulf Coast.

He is survived by his parents, Betty L. and Karl M. Lindsay, Winchester; a daughter, April, of California; two sisters, Kathy Ann Zmeck, Harrison, Ark., and Karen Young, Camdenton, Mo.

Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be at Mt. Muncie Cemetery. Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home of Oskaloosa is assisting the family with arrangements.
