Betty Beeler
A memorial Celebration of Life for Betty L. Beeler, 82, Grantville, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at the Grantville United Methodist Church.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Grantville Cemetery.
Mrs. Beeler died Dec. 23, 2010, at an Omaha hospital of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
She was born July 9, 1928, at Ozawkie, the oldest child of Roy and Olive Turpin Harding Sr.
She lived in Grantville many years and was a member of the Grantville United Methodist Church and held many offices in the United Methodist Women. She helped with church dinners and many other groups, co-starting an embroidery group this year.
She married Robert “Bob” Beeler June 11, 1948. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Beeler, Topeka; one daughter, Tamarra Engler, Omaha; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Jean Smith, Las Vegas, Nev., and Anita Pickens, Buffalo, Mo.; and two special daughters, Janice Larrison, Grantville, and Lori Keating, Perry.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Harding Jr.
Memorials can be made to the Grantville United Methodist Church and sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066.
