Motor vehicle accident reports:

Oct. 15, 3:43 p.m.: A semi-trailer carrying a wind turbine shaft failed to negotiate a curve at Wellman Road and K-16 Hwy. and ended up with its rear end in the ditch. The semi-truck was driven by Gerald S. Pontis, 45, Reno, Nev., and the rear trailer was being controlled by flagman Larry McClatchey, 59, Fairfield, Texas.

Oct. 20, 7:18 a.m.: Dave A. Unger, 37, Ozawkie, was traveling on K-237 Hwy. near Ellsworth Road when a dog entered the roadway and hit Unger’s vehicle.

Oct. 21, 3:15 p.m.: Chad W. O’Trimble, 43, Perry, was traveling along Buckcreek Road near 78th Street. A vehicle driven by Lynette S. Yoder, 17, Oskaloosa, attempted to pass O’Trimble as he was making a left turn and the two vehicles collided.

Oct. 23, 7 p.m.: A unknown vehicle left the roadway on Thomas Road near 150th Street and went through a barbed wire fence.

Oct. 26, 2:25 p.m.: Gerald J. Hisey, 53, Valley Falls, was traveling along Washington Street in Oskaloosa near Liberty Street when a vehicle driven by Aaron M. Moore, 29, Oskaloosa, backed out of a repair shop and collided with Hisey’s vehicle.
