Safety Week in Oskaloosa
Oskaloosa volunteer fireman Kevin Fowler, who has served 12-years, answered questions Friday from Oskaloosa first graders at Safety Day. Joe Heinen with Leavenworth-Jefferson Electric Cooperative demonstrated to Oskaloosa Middle School students what happens to someone who touches a power line using a Ken Doll. A representative with Westar Energy was also there showing students other dangers associated with power lines. Students also learned about bike safety. Photo by Dennis Sharkey
