USD 340 voters reject rec. commission

The election to create a recreation commission in USD 340 and assess a 1-mill levy failed.

Jefferson County Election Officer Linda Buttron reports the following: There were 77 yes votes and 127 no votes. The Ozawkie precinct had 13 yes, 28 no and Rock Creek had 62 yes and 96 no. In the advance voting, there were 2 yes and 3 no.
